To our fans, our followers, our readers, and everyone else,
With every great beginning comes ideas, which in turn blossom into even greater things. With SHHO at UVA, we started with SHHOtime, our beloved blog to inform and stay connected with other hip-hop fans around the University and around the Internet. As the organization grew larger daily, we moved into our ultimate goal of bringing together the hip-hop community and together raising awareness of the cultural and artistic values of hip-hop.
At the University, we have grown into an organization that exceeded every expectation and we are now reaching to do nothing short of changing the world. With that, we are sad to inform our readers that we are moving on from our tumblr blog, SHHOtime. As we progress to bring hip-hop to the University of Virginia, we have to focus our time on our events and multiple endeavors.
We noticed the blog was slowly dying in viewers, post content, and interest. Most of this decline was our fault as we couldn’t focus primarily on the blog, but more so on our organization as a whole and we had to make the executive decision to discontinue the blog to fully focus on the organization.
However, don’t be too upset or alarmed. We are moving our daily hip-hop updates (new music, new videos, new articles, etc.) to our Facebook page, which we find to be more accessible, more efficient, and reaches out to more viewers. So please, become a fan of us on Facebook to continue to receive daily updates of the hip-hop world as you did with this blog. Also, we will be posting official SHHO at UVA announcements and exclusive pieces on our new official SHHO website - www.theshho.com/uva - here, you will be able to find official event announcements and any big news our organization has for you.
We hope you understand the reasoning for the decision as we are extremely sad to see our blog go, but it is for the best of the organization. The past few months have been a wonderful journey.
Thank you for continuing to follow us on our journey and we can only move forward from here.
Sincerely,
SHHO at UVA
